Operation: Tools for School Available for veterans and families

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 24, 2016) – Starting Aug. 1, Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) will run Operation: Tools for School to help veteran and service member families with their children’s back-to-school costs. From August 1 until September 15, veterans, service members, and their spouses can receive assistance when proof of service is presented at Military Veterans Resource Center’s Columbus resource center, located at 1395 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Ste. 350.

“Operation: Tools for School helps vets and families make a positive start to the school year,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “We want children to feel excited about school. It’s a joy to see them begin the school year with bright eyes and happy smiles.”

Donations to Operation: Tools for School are always welcome and can be made at milvetsrc.org/tools. For more information about this program, contact Abby Reynolds at 614-504-4357.

Military Veterans Resource Center helps veterans develop self-reliance and independence by providing access to the resources they need to successfully manage life transitions. MVRC is based in Columbus and operates four resource centers throughout Ohio.
