Military Veterans Resource Center to sponsor Military Day at the Franklin County Fair

COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 27, 2017) – Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) will help veteran and service member families defray their children’s back-to-school costs through its Operation: Tools for School program.
From Aug.1 – until Aug. 31 veterans, service members, guard/reserve members and their spouses can receive assistance when proof of service and birth certificates/proof of custody for each child is presented at MVRC’s Columbus Resource Center at 1395 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Suite 350.
“Operation: Tools for School helps vets and families make a positive start to the school year,” said Len Proper, executive director of MVRC. “We want children to feel excited about school. It’s a joy to see them begin the school year with bright eyes and happy smiles,” he added.

Donations to Operation: Tools for School can be made by visiting our website or by dropping off items/monetary funds to our Columbus center during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday).
Military Veterans Resource Center helps veterans develop self-reliance and independence by providing access to the resources they need to successfully manage life transitions. MVRC is based in Columbus and operates four resource centers throughout Ohio.
