Military Veterans Resource Center’s 3rd annual career fair set for Thursday, Jan. 14

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DAYTON, Ohio (Jan. 8, 2016) – All job seeking veterans, active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and spouses are invited to attend the 3rd annual New Year, New Career job fair on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016. Hosted by Military Veterans Resource Center, the career fair will feature over 60 military friendly employers from the Dayton and Miami Valley areas. It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the Hope Hotel & Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, located at 10823 Chidlaw Road.

“The unemployment rate is down and a lot of companies are hiring this time of year,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. “If you’re a veteran searching for a new job, now is the time to be proactive and attend events like New Year, New Career.”

Veterans should remember to dress for success, bring copies of their resumes, and be prepared to speak with employers about their skill sets and experiences.
