Military Veterans Resource Center announces new appointment to board of directors

CANTON, Ohio (November 7, 2017) – Military Veterans Resource Center welcomes the addition of Rod
Strata of North Canton, Ohio to its board of directors.

Strata’s has more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry and technology sectors and has
served in leadership positions with organizations such as i2 Technologies and SAP.
Strata grew up in Canton, Ohio and is a former captain for the Michigan State University football team.

While at Michigan State, Strata was a four-year starter as an offensive lineman. He received All Big Ten
and All American honors, many team awards, and most notably the prestigious “Gerald Ford Up Front
Award” exemplifying the characteristics of our former president. Strata’s greatest lifetime mentor was his
line coach, Lt. Col. C.T Hewgley (Ret.), a Green Beret who served honorably in the WWII, Korean and
Vietnam conflicts.

Strata is the executive director of the Patriot Project which provides chiropractic care for active-duty
service members, Gold Star families and veterans across the United States with more than 7,000
participating chiropractors.

Strata has also volunteered with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Tokyo, Big
Brothers and many other charitable programs.

Strata’s appointment expands the MVRC board of directors from eleven to twelve members.

Military Veterans Resource Center is a non-profit organization that helps veterans develop self-reliance and
independence by providing access to the resources they need to successfully manage their lives. The
organization is based in Columbus and operates four centers throughout Ohio.
