Military Veterans Resource Center announces two new board members

COLUMBUS, Ohio (March 26, 2015) – Military Veterans Resource Center announced today the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. The new members are Gayle Elliot and Brad Howard, who are set  to begin their term on April 9, 2015. They join a six-member Board of Directors that makes policy decisions and oversees MVRC operations. “Our newest board members are dedicated to our goal of helping Ohio’s veterans build strong, healthy lives. We are fortunate to have their guidance as we continue to grow in our mission,” said MVRC Executive Director Len Proper. Gayle Elliot is a Career Facilitator with FastPath, a jobs training program at Columbus State Community College for Columbus residents living in poverty. She holds AAS degrees in Social Services and Human Resources Management and a Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Management. Before her current role at FastPath, Elliot worked at the United States Air Force Academy and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. She has over 24 years of combined experience in human resources and workforce development, with a focus on veterans’ employment. Brad Howard is a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting LLP where he leads the company’s Risk Transfer Advisory Services. Prior to his role at Deloitte, he was an Associate at Towers Perrin. Howard has over fourteen years of experience consulting with benefit plan sponsors, associated vendors and insurance providers.
