On Friday, July 4, all veterans are invited to participate in the Hilliard Rotary Club's annual "Run for Freedom", free of charge on behalf of the race co-sponsor, Military Veterans Resource Center.

Participants can choose to either walk or run a distance of 5 or 10 kilometers, and all levels of fitness are welcome. The race will start at 8 a.m. on Friday morning and will take place at the Hilliard YMCA, located at 4515 Cosgary Road. Military Veterans Resource Center is the race co-sponsor with the Rotary Club, and is paying the registration fee for all veterans and providing commemorative T-shirts as part of the initiative to help get veterans active and engaged in their local communities.

Veterans interested in participating in this event with MVRC must register by calling 614-636-4634, or by emailing Veteran participants will be able to pick up their packets on the day of the race.

Military Veterans Resource Center is a non-profit organization that provides personalized career services to veterans who served honorably. MVRC works with veterans one-on-one to identify the obstacles preventing them from gaining employment and helps them access the resources to overcome those obstacles.
