FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) invites veterans looking for a new career to attend our free Veterans Career Workshop on Thursday, June 26. The event will feature recruiters from Miami University who are currently looking to hire for multiple positions. The workshop will take place at MVRC's Hamilton office, located at 914 Ross Ave. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and lunch will be provided.

Veterans interested in attending the Veterans Career Workshop must pre-register by contacting career specialist Dan Dunaway at 513-252-2395, or dan.dunaway@milvetsrc.org. Interested participants should pre-register no later than Thursday, June 19.

This interactive, personalized workshop is designed to improve veterans' job search skills. MVRC career specialists will work with veterans one-on-one to address their questions and demonstrate how to write effective cover letters and resumes designed to land interviews. Mock interviews and tips on interviewing skills will also be covered. If veterans have a resume, they are encouraged  to bring it, as time will be dedicated to developing a completed resume.
