MVRC To Host 2nd Annual Turkey Golf Tournament

Over 100,000 Ohio veterans are affected by hunger and must rely on meal services to feed themselves and their families. Join Military Veterans Resource Center on Saturday, Nov. 1 for the 2nd annual Turkey Golf Tournament. The entry fee is one 12 – 14 pound turkey or ham, which will be donated to military families for their Thanksgiving dinner. Participants should bring their turkey donations to the tournament, as they will be collected on site.

All Southern Ohio residents are invited to come out and golf for Ohio’s veterans. The tournament will take place at the Forrest Everhart Memorial Golf Course, located at 17273 State Route 104 in Chillicothe (near the VA Medical Center). Registration begins at 9 a.m., with a tee time at 10 a.m. The tournament is a 2-Person Scramble, with skill prizes awarded, including a 2015 golf pass to the winning team. After the tournament, a turkey dinner will be served to participants.

For additional information about the tournament, contact Abby Reynolds at 614-504-4357 or abby.reynolds@milvetsrc.org.
