FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chillicothe, OH (May 5, 2014)--On Wednesday, June 4, Military Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) will host an Open House to showcase our new Resource Center. Formerly located on the Chillicothe VA Medical Center's campus, we have moved to 1786 North Bridge Street. The Open House will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. Food and beverage will be provided.
We're inviting all veterans and the general public to see our new location and learn about the career services MVRC can provide. MVRC career specialists and staff members will begin the Open House with a welcome of guests and brief introduction about the organization, and will remain available throughout the Open House to answer questions. Local government officials, employers and hiring companies are also invited to attend the grand opening and to learn how MVRC assists Ohio's veterans searching for employment.
"We're excited about our new location in Chillicothe and hope any veteran looking for work or seeking a career change will come to the Resource Center for help," says Len Proper Military Veterans Resource Center's Executive Director. "Our goal is to provide assistance and support to the men and women who served our nation, and to help them through their transition of unemployment to employment."
Military Veterans Resource Center is a non-profit organization that provides personalized career services to veterans who served honorably. MVRC works with veterans one-on-one to identify the obstacles preventing them from gaining employment and helps them access the resources to overcome those obstacles. These resources include job-readiness coaching, skills training, counseling, or supportive services and may be accessed through MVRC or through partnerships with veterans’ service organizations, private social service agencies, and/or state and federal agencies. MVRC is based in Columbus, Ohio and operates seven centers throughout the state of Ohio.
