MVRC is holding a fall and holiday food drive. Donations can be dropped off at all four of our resource centers. If you would like to do a local food drive for us, contact Stefanie Hauck at stefanie.hauck@milvetsrc.org  to arrange pickup of empty donation boxes and more information.

Customer Service Representative Training Program

October 16, 2017 - October 20, 2017

In partnership with JobsOhio, Military Veterans Resource Center is offering a FREE cohort-based training program resulting in a guaranteed interview to become a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at one of our partner companies: Safelite FacilitySource HKT Teleservices (servicer for airbnb among others) OhioHealth Nationwide Insurance PLUS more companies joining this initiative everyday! Check back often! The CSR training will be offered twice a day for a period of two weeks. for a total of 36 hours. The daytime session will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the evening session will run from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Learn all the soft skills necessary to succeed as a Customer Service Representative such as interpersonal communication techniques, problem solving, conflict resolution and more. Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down

MVRC will be at the Central Ohio Veterans Stand Down. At Stand Down, A Veterans only program, many of our guests’ health, housing, and job issues can be helped by  one of our 80 plus social service agency representatives. Guests are able to speak to a “real person” and get much-needed answers toward solving their challenges. Non-Veterans will not be admitted. Veterans must prove their status by presenting their DD214, VA Benefits Card, or as a last resort, Statement of Service. Every year we reach out to give our Central Ohio Veterans a hand up with a promise of food, clothing, health checkups, legal advice, job leads, benefit information, and direct access to vital social services. Our Stand Down program will help prepare local veterans in need for winter by providing them new and free: Winter clothing from our clothing store Medical Service from the Chalmers P. Wylie Ambulatory Clinic Legal Services from Columbus Legal Aid Society of Columbus  Bag of groceries from the Mid-Ohio FoodBank Stylish haircuts from the Hair Experts Barber School Hot lunch Access to many local social service agencies.
